Anna Kate and I started out our weekend with a "Trail or Treat" at a park close by. It was a group of local businesses set up along a pathway passing out candy (and business cards, church flyers, etc). AK dressed up as Cinderella, thanks to her love of the princess and a dress up dress that Aunt Lisa bought for her! Anna really enjoyed seeing the other costumes and by the end of the trail she had mastered saying "trick or treat" and "thank you!". Although I am not surprised, she was very even keeled and waited until we got back to the car to have some candy. It is also worth noting that she walked the entire quarter mile trail, plus the distance to get to the trail and back to the car in little high heels. Trooper! I don't have any good pictures because I was by myself and someone was a little too excited to stand still!
The next morning, Mark delayed going into work so we could all head out to a local farm and enjoy the festivities they put on for October. We managed to do everything on the farm, and despite it being Halloween day, there were little to no crowds. Anna surprised us several times- first being when she let a strange older man with facial hair put her on a pony, and second when she got into the cow barrel ride alone and came back grinning ear to ear. She has become notably more independent lately, but it still surprised Mama!
Last we hit up "Trunk or Treat" at a local church, knowing that Anna wanted to trick or treat again, but our neighborhood is a little spaced out and not really the trick or treating place. She did not love the trunk or treat as much, but still enjoyed getting her loot. There was a lot going on for a two year old. We don't have pictures of this either because it was dark.

The hay ride stopped at the pumpkin patch so you could pick out a pumpkin or take photos. This girl took no time in getting prepped for her photo shoot!
