Preschool is Over!

Preschool is over! The last day was before the Memorial Day holiday, but there were a lot of fun events over the last couple weeks that we were all able to take part in!

Muffins for Moms! AK made me a crown, gave me a sweet book of hand prints, and we ate muffins (which Madison was not so happy to be away from)!

A (sunny sunny) trip to the strawberry patch!

Watching a puppet show with her buds from school, Kinsley and Sutton.

Checking out the animals... there was a baby goat taking a nap in a water/feed bucket!

My sweet girl on her last day of school, in the same dress as the first day!

These sweet girls have grown so much!

Emma didn't want to be left out!

Bye, Ms. Cindy and Ms. Dawn!!

Madison's Birthday and Party!

Time to catch up on the blog!

For Madison's actual birthday, we did some exciting things- a trip to the doctor, usual hour at the YMCA, and naps. A wild little Monday. Anna Kate and I did make her some yummy cupcakes to enjoy and we waited for Daddy to get home from work to watch our little one dig in. She did enjoy them, but definitely did not consume much per her usual.

On the Saturday following her birthday we invited family over to celebrate with some of Mark's yummy smoked pulled pork and some cake. While Madison didn't get too hands on with her cake, she did not disappoint as she went straight for it with her mouth. Sweet girl enjoyed everyone's reactions with a big smile!

"What? I get cookies now?" "YES!"

Unsurprisingly, Madison wasn't terribly into opening her presents, but sister sure was!

Uncle Robert caught her when she tried to run away from the gifts!

Showing Madison one of her gifts.

The big girls trying to show her her gifts.

Sweet girl ready for some CAKE!

Face first!

This birthday thing is FUN!

Mommy and Daddy with the birthday girl.

"Oh, here Dad, you want some?"

This one loves her Daddy!

That's a wrap, folks!

Easter Trip to Florida!

Over the Easter holiday, we enjoyed an extra long weekend in the Ponce Inlet area with the Rotman crew! Nana and Grandpa just put some of the finishing touches on their condo and we sure did enjoy it! We were a short walk to the beach, and even got to enjoy the pools at the facilities though they were a little cold for those of us over the age of four. Anna Kate in particular enjoyed the "hot pool" down by the beach.

On the way I packed a few dollar store gifts to make the ride a little more fun... on the left you can meet "Aunt Julie", Anna Kate's pink lizard. She cracked herself up with that one. On the right, Madison in the sand!

We took an excursion one cloudy and misty morning for putt putt and got to see some gators!

Anna Kate did surprisingly well. Not in that she is going to be a golf pro someday... more that she made it to about hole 15 before deciding she was over the game.

There were lots of things to see and do along the way!

This one didn't see or do much though...

One evening on the beach we decided to park it next to someone else's large hole in the sand. It's just too bad my phone was put away when we looked back and Madison had tipped herself in and all you could see was her little feet kicking in the air!

Always chasing sister!

Baby on the beach with blinders!

The Easter bunny came to visit us in Florida, but Anna Kate was too busy to be photographed.

On a walk/bike one day, we came upon a park and a skate park so AK had to do some jumps!

A post lunch visit to the Ponce Inlet lighthouse!

The nearby park was cool and had one of these Mommy and Me swings. It is fun, but nauseating to not be able to see in front of you when swinging.

Of course this diva needed a ride too.

At lease some of us are looking! Only family photo of the trip!

Happy Birthday, Madison!!

Our sweet baby girl is one! This year has truly flown by, excuse the cliche. One year ago I finally convinced Mark (after a walk around the neighborhood at around one in the morning) to take me to the hospital. At 3:42, we welcomed our 9lb 2oz happy girl! Life hasn't been the same since... We love you, Madison!!

For Madison's birthday, we took her to the doctor, so we have her one year stats for you:

Height: 29.5", 64% (exact same as AK at 1)
Weight: 17lb 3oz, 13%
Head: 17.75", 56%
BMI: 13.92, 3%

She is on target for pretty much everything except gaining weight, but the doctor agreed that this is just "her" since she is fairly consistently following the growth curve. Then they recommended I load some butter onto all of her foods, ha! Oh, and she has no teeth, but they said they aren't worried yet!

Her little personality is the cutest. She lives for smiles (especially from sister and Daddy), wants to try everything (including my coffee, which she then pointed to and said "more"), and is just a happy and independent little babe. She can say Mama, Dada, and More. More is the clearest word that you can tell she matches the meaning to the word, but the irony is that she hardly consumes any food. But she likes trying it, especially if it is on someone elses plate! She loves to get into "trouble", and climbs on everything at her height. She frequently opens the oven door on the toy kitchen simply so she can stand inside of it to get to the surface. We love our sweet and "wild" girl!

My sweet sweet Maddie girl!

Things to not look forward to: breaking the paci addiction.

This was by far the hardest photo shoot with her. She is on the move and too busy to stop!

The best (not very good) sister pictures I got. Anna Kate had a hard time holding her down, so I have about 20 blurry ones from me trying to shoot and keep her from falling.
