Happy Valentine's Day!

This is the first year that Anna Kate has understood (to an extent) Valentine's Day. And it has been fun! She is really into holidays this year, and has fully embraced making Valentine's and wants to share them with everyone. Since she is in preschool this year, we made Valentine's for her class out of band-aids, and she was really excited to give and receive little cards and treats. We sure do love that girl! Oh, and Madison was the recipient of many an "Anna Kate Valentine". She wanted to eat them.

Anna Kate's LOVE this year... Maddie bear.

Working hard on her valentine's for school. She is now a very proficient writer of the words to, Anna Kate, and Love. Her valentine's had band-aids on them and said, "I'm stuck on you, Valentine"

My littlest Valentine

Matching pink tu-tu dresses are obviously required on love day.

I had to convince Anna Kate that the bench was a little more appropriate photo spot now that her sister is so big!

With her valentine bag from school!

Mommy's assortment of valentine's from Anna Kate. Both of the handwritten ones were done without any help spelling or writing, I love them!

January Phone Photos

Here is another late wrap up of a month gone by...

Playing with her fun kinetic sand from Uncle Scottie!

Happy birthday Mommy! Anna Kate requested a "Nanny chocolate cake with sprinkles" for my birthday, and I happily obliged!

Happy baby in hats!

Caught Anna Kate napping! Then she had a fever for a few days.

These two are such a mess. "Mom, take my picture snuggling Madison!" "Mom, I want to hold Madison like a baby and you take a picture!" (You can see how well that went)

No big deal, just cooling off a french fry in the air conditioning in the back of the van. Things to note: the car was off. Also we were having a "back of the van" picnic with Daddy. We don't regularly hang out in the back of our van.

We were walking our babies!

Just eating outside in the middle of January without a coat.

And eating at the bar. I think it is so cute when Madison sits up here!

Going for a ride in the red convertible... I hope some day they will drive (not in a red convertible) in matching dresses, ha!

Donuts for Dads! According to Mark, Anna Kate was a little nervous with all of the Daddies in the room and he wasn't sure if she even had fun. According to AK, it was AWESOME. Kids.

Just in case you haven't heard this story- we had to run out for a couple errands after nap. While I was getting Madison ready to go, Anna Kate gathered up some of her recent colorings and stated that she was going to bring them with us and give them to people. I surely thought she would either forget about them or not have the courage to complete the task. She, in fact, gave away all of her colorings and made lots of people's days. She is a wonderfully sweet, tender hearted girl, and I am so lucky to be her mama!

Another day, another picnic in the back of the van with Daddy!

Anna had been begging to play with her cousin Avery, so we had the Marshall crew up for the day and lots of fun was had! Especially by these three!

Not sure that is what the doll house is for, girls!

Madison meeting baby Ava, her future bud!

Zucchini and Spaghetti Pesto!

I cannot even take this. Little squish loves to stand up at the activity table!

December Phone Photos

I owe you a "December Phone Photos" wrap up, so that I can immediately move on to "January Phone Photos" and now it is already February... but hey, I am posting!

Madison enjoying an early gift from Gigi and Ru- a bath ring seat!

Anna Kate in front of the neighbor's Christmas lights and getting ready to run into a big pile of leaves!

Anna Kate was really excited I had set up Nanny and Paw's nativity set by the front door and insisted I take her picture with it!

We got out the ladybug tunnel and Madison is a big fan!

This might be one of my favorite pictures of these girls ever!

Our neighbors hosted a wonderful Christmas party complete with Santa and decorating cookies!

Some more neighbors bought the girls reindeer antlers, and Anna Kate insisted on putting them on and then "snuggling" her sister.

Just reading a book in my jammies, sister for a pillow!

Mrs. Maggie reading the Christmas story at our birthday party for Jesus!

She is seriously a mess.

Reading to her sister in matching jammies, while Madison tried to make a run for it.

All princess. All the time.

No, seriously. All the time.

Making breakfast for the family from her princess cookbook! Note: princess dress underneath apron. Princess dress also on the counter.

Our wild and crazy New Years Eve... two girls in a box of ball pit balls!
