-in nursery at church on Sunday, she insisted on taking the other little boy's pacifiers... out of their mouths. mommy is seeking more socialization opportunities.
-there is no piece of furniture in our house that has not been climbed, pushed, pulled on, tipped over... you get the idea.
-it is no longer enough to have the outlets plugged at floor level. all outlets are begging for little fingers to be stuck into them.
-she now insists on trying to go over or under anything in her way. this includes exiting her toy car- not through the door, crawling through the army-like course that is our chairs and kitchen table, going under the coffee table, as well as under her very low standing toy. fortunately she has also learned to duck.
-she understands that when she drops food the dogs come over. then she drops more.
So, developmentally, she is becoming visibly smarter by the minute. In terms of the milestones every one asks about, she is working on more words than "mama" and "dada"- we are close to having something real! She isn't terribly interested in walking. Sometimes, if you're lucky she will "walk" forward when you hold her up by her hands, and she enjoys her walker, but overall she isn't super excited by it yet.
She had her first Mellow Mushroom pizza, followed up by a homemade Mellow Mushroom pizza, both of which were met with delight. But seriously, we are getting closer and closer to her eating what we eat as a family. She shares Mommy's oatmeal in the mornings, while she eats her own (whole) banana. At lunch, she enjoys snacking off Mommy's plate while eating a serving of broccoli-pasta, and at dinner we encourage her to try whatever we are having. So far, rotisserie chicken is a winner, but pulled pork is not, anything with eggs is a go, and as long as there is cheese or sweet potato involved she will deal with it.

This is literally the only way to get her to sit still... give her something to play with. Today? Lens cap.
"I see toys... and I'm pretty sure toys are way more fun than sitting here!"

Blowing raspberries at me. At least it isn't mealtime, those raspberries aren't nearly as sweet when she has a mouthful of food!
