On actual New Years day we headed down to Robert and Laura's house where Gigi and Ru were after staying with Avery while Robert and Laura did go back to Avett Brothers. Proving that they are younger than us in some ways, just not in actual age. Robert cooked us up a delicious Japanese feast of ramen. No, not the 3/$1 noodles, but some fancy pork and noodle dish that everyone opted to use a fork for instead of chopsticks.
The girls had a blast together. It is so fun watching Avery begin to have an interest in Anna Kate. When we arrived, Avery came running to the door, telling Ru, "It's baby Anna! It's baby Anna!". They did as well as expected when it came to sharing toys, but the real fun was had on a wagon ride and having a tea party. Sometimes they even look like sisters.

Avery did her jobs, keeping Anna Kate under the blanket and telling her "turn around!".
Every time Avery fixed the blanket (her toddler OCD caused her to do this until she was completely frustrated with Anna Kate kicking it off) Anna would take advantage of checking out her hat.
