Playdate: Acrofitness

After Anna's sick spell, we went to a lot of playdates. Since we had a dead week after the holidays and then missed some from being sick, I wanted her to jump back in and "hang out" with her peers. Granted, "hang out" is a loose word at this age, since they just play near each other and get upset when sharing isn't happening (aka, all the time), but I love to watch her and her little friends.

One of the days we went to a local gym called "Acrofitness". Anyone in the Mooresville/Charlotte area that has been to a parade, festival, or town event has probably seen the fitness-gymnastic-dance crew- they do some pretty cool stuff! Inside of their facility, they have a huge, two story, jungle gym with platforms and obstacles inside. The kids come in and play on it, and an older group goes for a 30 minute class. Anna will probably join the class soon, but right now the group her age enjoys the quiet time inside of the jungle gym without all of the big kids.

Here are some photos of Anna being brave- we actually went through the entire thing top to bottom several times while the big kids were out in the class. Once she figured out that she got to ride the slide by going up through everything, she was ready to go!

Here is a picture I found online of the entire jungle gym.

Climbing over some triangles...

Walking the catwalk- this was at the very top and very high!

Looking down on Mommy!

In a tunnel with friend Avery!

And last but not least, a blurry video of Anna and I going down the slide together! It is way too big and twisty for her to go alone (her friend Avery accidentally went down alone last time and got hurt!).
