**I have had this post sitting in queue for almost a month now, thanks to some issues with backing up photos and Picasa.**
This month she took on lots of new adventures- a weekend in the mountains and a week at the beach! She did very well during the daytime on both excursions, but nighttime was another story. Nighttime in general with this sweet heart has been interesting. We either hit a growth spurt or a sleep regression at the beach and could not recover when we got home (as in the girl was awake from 3:30-6am one night). So, desperate Mommy (and Daddy!) bought a special sleep sack called "Baby Merlin Magic Sleep suit" and the first night in it she slept 9 hours straight! She still has not slept through the night, and at the doctor we found out the most likely culprit- she is not gaining enough weight. Though they aren't worried, and personally I would totally chalk it up to her genetics, we are supposed to add in another feeding somewhere and start solids sooner rather than later.
In other news, Madison can now proficiently roll from her tummy to her back (not helping with sleep either), is on a predictable nap routine, and loves to talk up a storm! I am interested to see her personality develop, because she currently will interrupt us at meals (especially when Daddy is home and we are all talking) with loud coos and screams to get our attention. Then she smiles. T-R-O-U-B-L-E! She is most content playing in the playroom on a mat or with toys and least content in the car. She absolutely loves her sister and gives her the best smiles!
