Christmas #2: Marshall Family!

After a fun night at the Rotman's, we headed out bright and early (by that I mean like 9) to Greensboro for round two of the Christmas festivities. Anna Kate is always delighted to see her cousin Avery and I think Madison is gaining the same appreciation for Carter, or maybe just for observing the chaos. We opened even more gifts and had a yummy steak lunch before Madison took her nap. Anna Kate didn't nap during the entire stretch of the Christmas festivities... you can imagine what it was like after it was all said and done. The kids had a blast playing together, and the grown-ups had a blast eating all of Gigi's cooking, so it was a good day!

Thank you to all of my Marshall family for spoiling our girls- they love you all very much!

Anna got puppets... she then passed them out for us to play with. We must have looked like we needed something to do since we were just watching them all open gifts.

Gigi and Ru got everyone a sweet present for the coming summer! A cool tube!!

Gigi has been hard at work, knitting everyone matching hats. While it was partly a joke, they have been worn at our house and I have seen Carter wearing his!

This may just seem like a kind of bad photo of the kids and some people's shoes- but it was so sweet. Madison had already eaten her lunch and was just waiting for nap while everyone was getting ready for our meal. Carter decided that Madison needed to pull up a chair to the little kids table so he drug the bumbo over to the table, pointed at it and said, "baby!"... So we let Maddie have a few minutes like a big girl.
