Littlest Reader!

One thing I left off from the last post is that Anna LOVES to read! Whenever I come back to get her from childcare at the Y, one of the women usually makes a comment about how they have never seen a child who loves to read so much (they never met Avery, though). Often at the Y, she will ignore all of the toys and head straight to the bookshelf. At home, especially when she is moody, she loves to sit and have you read book after book after book. She has her favorites too, and if she doesn't like the one you are reading her, she will make sure you get a new one.

Her current favorite is her toddler Bible. We have read the thing through probably ten times now, and she requests it before she goes to bed or nap and when she wakes up. It has cartoon pictures, and she can identify Jesus and Noah and the angels. She will even answer the prompted questions, since now she probably has half of it memorized.

Her other favorite books include: anything with Elmo or Mickey Mouse/Disney Characters, Olivia, and, luckily, my favorite Sandra Boynton books. The rest are hard to pick out which is her favorite, but she will go through phases. She loves pumpkins, so we read a lot of the two halloween books we have. Also Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer needs to be put away...
