Five on Friday

We had a wonderful weekend. On Saturday, we headed down to visit Anthony, one of Mark's life long friends, and his fiancé Breanne. Anna Kate LOVED Breanne's dogs. Which is no surprise because the girl loves all dogs, but Saylor, who looks like Charger but still has the energy of puppy Charger, loves to play fetch. So much so that he is willing to play fetch with a baby who only throws the ball about a foot. Anna thought it was hilarious! We also met Uncle Scottie at a nearby park and did some off road strolling while the boys played frisbee. Wrapped up with dinner at Mellow mushroom it was an awesome Saturday! I'll post those photos soon!

Sunday deserves it's own number. We had that much going on! Sunday we had another showing. If you're keeping count, that would be the third in one week. We cleaned up the house, and for some reason Anna Kate took a super long morning nap. Which meant, when it was time to leave the house she actually had some energy instead of the grumpy baby we had planned to entertain. We made a last minute decision, grabbed our swimsuits and headed to Nana and Grampas new house location on the lake. Someone had a blast! She really just wanted to keep walking out into the water as far as whoever would let her go, our little daredevil. After a few hours of fun in the sun we headed home with a sweet napping girl.

Monday, we had.... Another showing. Fortunately, it isn't too hard to keep the house clean when you don't have days in between to convince yourself a little mess is okay. This time, we headed to see Shanda and her dogs Sam and Cooper. Anna ate her afternoon snack while the dogs played fetch and stole her graham crackers. Then, we went across the street to Richard's brothers farm and saw all of the animals. Anna Kate was in farm heaven, and the beagles didn't mind either. Horses, cows, pigs, goats, and even a mean donkey! So glad that we have good friends to let us barge in on!

Someone is getting really close to being a full blown walker around here! Obviously, this needs it's own post, and we have neglected to keep you all in the loop, but Anna Kate is taking some serious steps. It is getting more and more common for her to take 6-10 steps than the 2-3 she had been taking, and her new favorite hobby is finding someone's fingers to hold on to and to walk them around. In fact, at the Y this week they weren't very busy in the toddler class and someone (*cough*AK*cough*) was practicing too much in the infant room where there are swings and jumpers and bouncers and they decided to move her over for the day so that she didn't break something. Needless to say when I picked her up she was fussing and being held, but it was adorable because all the little toddlers were standing next to the teacher who was sitting on the floor with her like they wanted to play.

Yesterday, we had... A showing. Or we were supposed to. The realtor got the date wrong and it is today. But she didn't realize it until after the appointment time was missed (10-12). So, we have a showing today! If you're keeping count, that is six times in ten days that I have had to leave the house with a one year old and baby in tow. Someone needs to buy this house! (We are getting close, lots of great feedback, we are at the top of a few buyers lists). This time Anna, Bailey, Emma, and I headed to the bank and to run a few errands, then came home to no one having visited. To make up for the boring and frustrating morning, I filled Anna's baby pool and water table and put it in the shade for when she woke up. When I put her in the pool... She hated it. But then again she had been fussy all day. Instead she sat on my lap for twenty minutes drinking her water and looking at the sweet set up before motioning that she wanted to swing.
