Just Mulchin' Around

We have made it well known that Anna Kate loves to be outside and likes to get dirty. Her current favorite activity is to play in the mulch. We are hoping that this will lead to a lifelong love of mulch, where she will fill wheelbarrows with the stuff and spread it in all of the right places... just like our parents made us do. But she will love it, because she has had so much experience. Right?

Anyways, this particular day, we got out our sand toys and Easter bucket from Gigi, along with some Easter eggs leftover from her sand playing at the beach, and she had a ball! She would fill up her bucket with mulch, then her shovel, and even mimicked Mommy and would put mulch in her eggs and try to close them up. She still enjoys throwing it into the driveway and the drains, much to her Daddy's dismay.

This lasted 30 minutes.. maybe more!

I was really impressed when she (hand) filled her shovel and dumped it in the bucket!

"Just putting some mulch in here."

It almost looks like she is having an egg hunt... but she was more interested in the mulch.
