Christmas 2014: Part 2

After waking up (not early) to open presents, play with toys, and have a yummy breakfast, we all got ready to head out to Taylorsville to the Great Grandparents. We followed our usual schedule of a yummy lunch at Nanny and Paw's, a nap (Anna actually took one this year!) and some presents, and headed over to Grandma Marshall's for even more food and festivities. It makes for a long day for the littles with lots of stimulation, but both Avery and Anna did very well throughout the whole day. Not surprisingly, most of my photos ended up being of Anna and Avery together because A) they are adorable and B) they were pretty much inseperable. You can also see some more pictures here on my brother's blog... because he tends to take more pictures than I do.

Nanny set out an Avery sized chair and an Anna sized chair, but Anna was unsure.. (We had to wake her up from her nap to get through the day in a timely manner)

This shopping cart was a big hit with everyone... including Uncle David!

Nanny always gives out the best snacks for Christmas. Anna loves snacks. David will give his nieces whatever they want, therefore by the end of the afternoon, Anna was crawling up on David's lap in order to get some snacks.

While the rest of us packed up to head over to Great Grandma Marshall's, Mark took the girls to look at the pond... and it was adorable.

We had a great time at Great Grandma Marshall's, but I took no photos... partially because there is always so much going on that I spend my time making sure Anna is eating, and then making sure she doesn't get food on everything, and then making sure she doesn't get into the dessert table on her own, and partially because the lighting in the evening makes for some blurry photos. Fortunately, cousin Kristina caught this moment, as the girls had become obsessed with playing on the porch (we should have videoed just for the sounds coming out of that room) and Uncle Brian got to spend some time with the girls!

The copy-cat stage is in full force these days...
